Your trust matters

Little Cicerone was created from a simple idea: turning a visit to a museum, monument or archaeological site into a shared family experience.

We collect only the information that is genuinely necessary for the app to work, and we handle personal data with transparency, responsibility and care.

1. Data controller

The data controller is Little Cicerone. For privacy requests, you can contact us at privacy@littlecicerone.it.

2. Data we collect

When you use the app, we may collect only the information needed to provide the service:

• email address;
• authentication method used (email/password, Google or Apple);
• preferred language;
• selected avatar;
• level, points, badges, completed quizzes and progress;
• purchase-related information needed to restore purchased content.

3. Technical information

To keep the app secure and reliable, we may collect technical information such as app version, operating system, technical device identifiers and diagnostic data needed to resolve issues.

4. Location

Little Cicerone does not continuously track your location. Location access may be requested only when you choose to use features that require it, such as showing nearby attractions or centering the map on your position.

Location is not monitored in the background, is not stored on our servers and is not used for advertising. You can still use the app if you do not grant this permission.

5. How we use data

We use data to create and manage accounts, allow access to the app, save and sync progress, assign points, levels and badges, restore purchases, improve reliability and security, and provide support.

We do not use personal data for advertising or commercial profiling.

6. Children

Little Cicerone is designed for families. Children may use the app under the supervision of a parent or responsible adult. We do not knowingly collect children’s personal data beyond what is strictly necessary for the app to work.

7. Services we use

We use Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Firebase Storage, Firebase Hosting, Google Maps Platform and, if enabled, Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics to improve stability, quality and performance.

8. Data sharing

Little Cicerone does not sell personal data. Data may be processed by technology providers needed to operate the app.

9. Retention and deletion

Data is kept for as long as needed to provide the service. Users may request deletion of their account and associated data through the app or the dedicated website page.

10. Your rights

Under the GDPR, you may request access, rectification, deletion, restriction of processing, objection and data portability by contacting privacy@littlecicerone.it.

11. Security

We adopt appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss, alteration or misuse.

12. Changes

This Privacy Policy may be updated over time. The latest update date will always be shown at the top of this page.
